Renowned for his expressive sound and charismatic stage presence, Marco Pierobon stands out as one of Europe’s leading trumpet soloists and an emerging conductor on the international scene.

As a soloist, he has appeared with major ensembles including the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, the English Chamber Orchestra, the Vienna Kammerkonzert, I Virtuosi del Teatro alla Scala, I Solisti Veneti, the Junge Philharmonie Salzburg, and the Symphony Orchestras of Mantua, Bolzano, Vicenza, Sanremo, and the Marchigiana Philharmonic.

Winner of first prizes at international competitions in Passau (Germany) and Imperia and Acqui Terme (Italy), Pierobon began his orchestral career as Principal Trumpet of the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino Orchestra (1999–2002) and later of the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia Orchestra (2003–2008). He has also performed as guest principal with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and the Filarmonica della Scala.

Throughout his career, he has collaborated with distinguished conductors such as Zubin Mehta, Isaac Karabtchevsky, Etienne Siebens, Friedrich Heider, Guenther Neuhold, and Ralf Gothóni. Several composers — including Giancarlo Aquilanti, Angelo Sormani, Giuseppe Bonafine, and Michele Mangani — have written works dedicated to him.

In 2014, Pierobon premiered Giancarlo Aquilanti’s Trumpet Concerto on tour with the Stanford Wind Symphony, later returning in 2018 to premiere Aquilanti’s Double Concerto. The same year, he appeared as soloist with the Teatro alla Scala Orchestra in Mahler’s Third Symphony, broadcast worldwide in live streaming with the Filarmonica della Scala.

Since 2014, Pierobon has expanded his career as a conductor, leading the Sanremo Symphony Orchestra, the Haydn Orchestra of Bolzano and Trento, the Croatian National Theatre Orchestra (Zagreb), the Slovenian Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Opera Carlo Felice Orchestra (Genoa), and the Orchestra da Camera di Perugia. In 2025, he made his conducting debut with the Orchestra della Toscana (Florence) and the Orchestra Sinfonica di Puglia e Basilicata, for concert tours.

His international appearances include a featured solo performance at Expo Astana 2017 (Kazakhstan) and invitations to the International Trumpet Guild Conferences (USA) in 2017, 2021, and 2024.

As a member of the celebrated Gomalan Brass Quintet, he has toured worldwide, releasing four CDs and

two DVDson Summit Records and Naxos.

Pierobon has given masterclasses across the United States, Argentina, Russia, Kazakhstan, China, Canada, England, Greece, Germany, Austria, and Italy, and has been Professor of Trumpet at the “Claudio Monteverdi” Conservatory in Bolzano since 2007.

He has recorded extensively for Sony and EMI under Sir Antonio Pappano with the Orchestra dell’Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia.

He currently lives in the Italian countryside near Parma with his wife Francesca (violinist and music teacher), their two children — Biagio (electronic music composer) and Amelia (horn player) — and two beloved dogs, Luisa and Alfredo.
