Since winning first prize at the Birmingham International Piano Competition, Maiko Mori has continued to build an international career as one of the outstanding soloists and chamber musicians of her generation. Known for bringing both structural clarity and lyrical nuance to the stage, she continues to establish herself as a commanding presence in the international piano scene.
Maiko has enjoyed acclaim at prestigious venues across the UK, Europe, and Japan, including London’s Purcell Room, Kolarac in Belgrade, and Suntory Hall in Tokyo. She has also been a featured artist at major international festivals, including the Cheltenham Festival (UK), the Malta Spring Festival (Malta), and the Lidköping Music Festival (Sweden). Her performances have frequently been broadcast on BBC Radio 3 and Radio France.
Since making her UK concerto debut under Vasily Petrenko, Maiko has made numerous international concerto appearances. Her notable concerto performances include Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No. 3 at the Kyoto Concert Hall under Tetsuro Ban, and Brahms’ Piano Concerto No. 2 at St Cyprian’s, London, under Levon Parikian.
